The site (known at the time as "the web's swankiest comedy lounge") was the brainchild of myself and Gary Fixler. We each had a handful of favorite comedy sites to use as a model, and a secret, burning desire to ultimately crush them all under our hilarious boots.

After almost a year had passed without any crushing achieved whatsoever, Gary and I enlisted the help of a group of friends that would become known as "the misinformants." Soon people started to notice us. Coincidentally, it was right around the time SPUNKY unveiled our buxom, redheaded mascot, Misty Misinformer.

In time, Timb and Trixie would fill our ears with music, Caster would surprise us all with the popularity of his Playstation 3 trilogy, and behind the scenes, Mindy would work with an undying, chipper vigilance that would keep us from murdering one another.

With the fresh infusion of talent that the misinformants brought to the HTML table, misinformer.com finally took off, enjoying a five year run of new comedy on a weekly monthly regular basis. By February 2005, each of us had developed new itches that needed scratching, and we officially disbanded misinformer.com in order to pursue our own solo projects.

Even though it's no longer updated, the site and its archives of comedy features and movie reviews will remain online indefinitely, because I sleep better at night knowing that future civilizations will be able to find out what I thought of Survivor II.
